Pure Joy!

I don't know if you can see Drew's face in this picture (you may have to click on it to magnify it), but it is the face of pure joy. We went to the park a couple of weekends ago and Brent kept jumping over Drew. (My hubby caught some "nice air", if I do say so myself.) Drew would laugh and squeal with excitement. So cute.

Yum...Solids.

Maggie has graduated to some solid foods. I messed up by starting with bananas because now she only wants sweet things. (Mommy likes the sweet things too.) I'm hoping she'll be a better eater than her brother though. Maggie really is such a happy baby. What a blessing.

Mommy and Maggie

Double Time

Drew Brushing All Four Teeth

Drew LOVES anything "minty" and toothpaste is de-licious. He has about three toothbrushes that he carries around the house brushing all four of his teeth.

Ahhh...a Mother's Dream

Both babies asleep at the same time!

Maggie the Cheerleader

Since Maggie wasn't invited to "cousins camp" this time we dressed her up in a cheerleader uniform (what girl doesn't like to dress up?!?) and took her to my parents' (a.k.a. Grammy and Granddaddy) house to watch the basketball game. Congrats, Hogs!

Look at that big cheerleader smile. First team/traveling squad, for sure. And yep, that's the "new me". Same shirt as last Saturday (hmmm...clearly a current comfy fav) but with 7 less inches of hair. Yikes!

"Cousins' Camp"

Larry and Nancy, a.k.a. Pappy and Mimi, invited cousins, Cate, Ryan, and Drew, to Wilson for "cousins camp"this weekend. After installing three car/booster seats in the back of their car and strapping our kids in, I wonder if they still thought it was a good idea. :)

Maggie with her pink hat

This was just too cute not to post.

Drew in the Dryer

Drew is into climbing into things, over things, up things, etc. This is where I found him Thursday morning. He was so proud.

Hooray for Some Warm Weather!

Saturday was warm and sunny...yea! What a treat to be able to get outside without being bundled. We loaded up and went to our neighborhood park for a while. Drew had a blast running, climbing, sliding, and the ever popular throwing rocks. It took two people to keep him safe though (he's a wild man) and even then he did leave with a pretty nasty chin injury. (Thanks to Garrett and Amelia for their help keeping our child under control.) Brent was such a good daddy going down the long tube slide with Drew more than a few times. It was pure joy from Drew. I can't wait for more weather like this so we can play. Come on Spring. We're ready!

Jammies

It's hard to get Drew to sit still for anything, especially to pose for a picture with his sister. However, just up from his morning nap and in an unusually cuddly mood, Drew and Maggie spent a couple of quality minutes hanging out side by side in their PJs. Of course, wherever Drew goes, Bear goes too. And I'm happy to report several times this weekend Drew actually "shared" his Bear with Maggie. Ahhh, the luv.

Good times at the pediatrician's office

Foolishly, I thought it would be a good idea to take both kids to their "well baby" checkups at the same time. You know, that way we could get it over with in one day, I wouldn't have to get a sitter for one baby while taking the other to get their shots, etc. For all of you with two kids thinking the same thing, let me assure you, it's a dumb move. We spent over two hours in the pediatrician's office and the majority of that time poor Maggie and Drew were mostly naked. They were both good sports...for the most part...until those mean ol' nurses jammed needle after needle into those cute chubby legs. Those visits are tough on babies and mommies alike. I'm happy to report Maggie and Drew are doing well and weighing in at 13 lbs 8oz and 24 lbs 1oz respectively.

A few firsts.

First happy meal. Hold the nuggets and juice. Keep the fries.

First time in the exersaucer.

First breakfast chat between siblings.

What a smile!

Maggie really is such a happy baby now. She always has a ready smile which makes your heart just melt. She coos and talks too. I think she may say her first word before Drew does. Maybe she'll be able to interpret Drew's jibberish for us and we'll finally be able to communicate with him. :)

Bath Time

One of the day's highlights for Drew is taking a bath. Maggie likes it too...she just doesn't like to get out.

Gotta Love the Out-of-Doors!

Drew loves, loves, loves being outside no matter how he feels or what the weather. It was such a cold day and Drew had RSV and an ear infection but he also had major cabin fever (and was driving me nuts). So I bundled him up and let him go for a drive and throw a few leaves around. It made him and me feel better.

Christmas Deja Vu

Christmas 2006

Christmas 2007

I know it is already January but I didn't have time to post these pics in December.

Same outfit. Same hat. Different baby. (No plans to have a 2008 version.)
